The Night Sky: Copernicus Excerpt
An excerpt of an animation designed as part of The Night Sky, an immersive concert in which the concert hall became a planetarium. This piece, Gabriel Prokofiev's Spheres, combined with narration and these animations – triggered live to adapt to the tempo of the music in each performance - showed the pioneering thinking of Copernicus, suggesting that the planets orbit around the sun.
It was a lonely existence – conventional society ostracising him for daring to go against the conventional belief of the Earth being at the centre of everything.
